Miller joined the UF program as linebackers coach in January of 2003. Prior to arriving in Gainesville, Miller had been a defensive coordinator for 17 seasons, four of them at the University of Miami and the last four at Michigan State. Miller was also the defensive coordinator, linebackers and defensive backs coach at Oklahoma State from 1989 to 1994 and also had coaching stints at Minnesota, Nevada-Reno, Drake and Texas Arlington.
