We're looking forward to three more meets this indoor season... the Sec Championships next weekend, a last chance at home, and the NCAA's in Fayetteville, Arkansas! Wow! This sure went fast!

I had a big day in the shot! We now have four throwers (hopefully five, with Quanda's 53 plus provisional) going to the NCAA's in this event! With the addition of the pentathlon at the NCAAs this year, I think we're expecting maybe 14 athletes per event. That means about a third of the girls in the whole shot competition will be wearing Gator blue and orange!

If you think there are going to be a lot of Gators in the NCAA shot, well....check this out. We now have SIX auto qualifiers in the weight, all ranked in the top 11 in the nation! Four of us seem to have beaten the Indiana track record, too.....
We sometimes forget about the good athletes who don't make
it into the spotlight . Some athletes make a valuable contribution
by working hard every day and supporting their teammates!
I would like to recognize Sara Cooper, who did a great job
this weekend in the weight throw!
To put her mark in proper perspective, Sara would have been
second or third on my old team at SMU!Women Weight Throw
