Here are some of the meet highlights:
Super frosh Tianda Ponteen sets a new school record in he 400m with an NCAA automatic qualifier of 52.20. Tiandra went on to take 6th in the 200m in 23.57.
Krystle Moss won the high jump with a personal best 1.83m/6-0.
The Gators went 1-2 in the men's long jump, with Mike Morrison winning with a 24-11.25 and Alex Harris taking second at 24-9.25.
Tony Emperator added another W in the men's weight with a throw of 19.75m/64-9.75.
Gators did well in the men's 400m, with Kerron Clement taking 2nd (46.11) and Reggie Witherspoon in 3rd (46.66).
Novlene Williams set a personal best in the 400m (52.92) to finish 4th.
Josh Walker reset his school record to win the 60m hurdles in 7.67 seconds. Josh is the national leader in this event.
Andrea Bliss took 2nd in the women's 60m hurdles at 8.26 seconds.
Moise Joseph took 3rd in the seeded 800m (1.48.19), while Kamille Bratton took 5th on the women's side (2:07.93, season best).
The women's 4X400 relay team (Tiandra, Kamille, Andrea, & Novlene) finished second with an automatic qualifying time of 3:33.90! You go, girls!
The men's 4X400 relay managed to finish 3rd in spite of a dropped baton.
The men's distance medley relay (Stroup, Pastor, Joseph, & Zieminski) took 4th...hey, with Arkansas, Indiana, and Rice in the race, that's not bad!
Then came the throwers...... :)
