Let's talk TRACK!

Well, my 'sources' tell me that this year is going to have some surprises!

First of all, predicting the women's rankings is very tough this year. I noticed that some of the people who put out their 'guesses' didn't know all of the athletes who are injured, retired or transferred. My Gators have lost me, Kim Barrett and Akera Lathan just to start , so breaking into the top 10 would be tough enough for them. Some guy was actually predicting 3rd! No offense, but you need to talk to more folks than the coaches to find out what is going on.

The men's teams are a bit easier to predict since all or most of the major players have been factored into their calculations. I know some of you may think I am being a little hard on some teams and giving an undeserved boost to others... but I am listening to the athletes and not their coaches... which makes a difference. After all, I have been pretty close the last few years!

Here are my team rankings (best guess) for the 2005 Indoor Season (SEC conference teams in RED):

Men's Teams

Women's Teams

1)   Arkansas
2)   Florida

3)   Texas
4)   LSU

5)   Texas
6)   Michigan

Good luck to everyone and every team this indoor season! --Karen:)
