We Got Game!
USC 71 -
UCLA 68

  Setting an example is not the main means of influencing people;
it is the only means.

There is a little story to go along with the picture on the left.

Have you ever been to a football game or basketball game where they shot cylinder shaped objects into the crowd?

Well, at the USC-UCLA Basketball game they shot this shirt into the crowd and we were the lucky ones!

So, how did I get it? My dad leaped into the air in a cool one handed catch and gave it to me.

I never knew he could jump! :)

Right after the game, the students mobbed the floor and everything was wild and crazy! You can see why the word 'fan' comes from 'fanatics'!

I call this --- 'three Trojans'!

Everyone was shocked, surprised, pleased and proud that our team was ahead at half time.

I took this picture during the half time break just in case things changed. After all, we were playing a ranked team and we didn't have our star player and we had lost a bunch of games and we were only 6-7 in conference --- the team really proved themselves!

It was a wonderful game!

FACTOID: this is the last time USC will play in the Sports Arena! We have a new one, the Galen Center, under construction.

Mom, Dad and me with Tommy T! A lot to sing about after the game!
There is nothing like winning a big rivalry game -- especially when you lost the first game big time and no one gave you a chance!

Karla's Corner:

Here are a couple of pictures that Karla prepared for this K-Mail. The first is a
picture of all of her Freberg women
with 'ipods'! And Karla couldn't help
but draw me as a poodle!

I would like to thank you for visiting with me this week and seeing the adventures
I am having at the wonderful University of Southern California.

Some of you have asked to hear about my
graduate work and the
Annenberg School in Communication and I will show you some of what
I have learned in the next few issues as well.

I hope you enjoyed our visit and see you next time!

Karen:)
