Hiking Up Diamond head!

Here is a view of Kristin's backyard! I think some Hibiscus would add just enough color don't you?

Ah, this was the payoff for our long hard walk up Diamond head! What is amazing to me is that Kristin runs up this as part of a workout!

Hiking up Diamond Head

Most of the time, when people visit Hawaii they do the usual things—go to Waikiki Beach and do some shopping.  But hiking up Diamond Head?  I thought—hey, that is pretty cool!  Kristin said that she had been up there five or six times, and she has run up it before.  Let’s just say this—hiking up Diamond Head makes the stairmaster look REALLY easy!  I got a good workout in it and the view at the top was well worth it! J

The stairs of death!

I used to love running stairs, I am glad no one ever found these for me to run!

Kristin drove me around Oahu! The best island of all!

Here we are driving through Pearl Harbor.

I think I lost 10 lbs on this walk alone!

Here's a picture you don't often see... a sunrise!

As you can see in Kristin's home, she is busy painting and changing things from top to bottom!

Plus the paint cans, we were trying to find places for all the stuff she had in storage.

Movin’ Along

As I mentioned earlier, one of the things that I wanted to do while visiting Kristin was help her move into her new house.  I have to say—it is such a nice place!  I loved her guest room—there was so much light and cool breeze coming into the room—it was awesome!  We got a lot of things moved in—most of the heavy stuff.  I definitely got a workout in—lifting mattresses, dresses, TVs, and all—it all adds up! J  There was one thing that took more work than others--- Kristin’s latex king sized mattress.  This thing was hard to move—and I called it “the devil mattress”.  But we got it all moved in and Kristin is really happy to get her bed back. :)

I have to say 'so long' to my Hawaiian adventure and vacation because school and work starts on Tuesday!

Work? Yep, but I'll tell you about that story another time.
