SPECIAL
NOTE TO K-MAIL READERS: I
tried to give you an idea of what the entire meet looked like in this edition of
K-Mail. I have pictures of sprinters , jumpers, runners, and a few surprises! I
hope you enjoy it! I got a lot of help from 2 K-Mail elves who were kind enough
to get some great pictures of photo-finishes and behind-the scene action.
![]() Gator Fans: The month of May is winding down and we have spent the maximum four of the past six weeks out on the road recruiting. We feel good about the recent evaluation period and our staff did a tremendous job of getting around the state and in some cases different parts of the country. We combine the recruiting season with the Gator Club tours. We've visited 18 of the clubs during the last several weeks. It's been great to get out and see our fans and the tremendous support they have for their program. I really enjoy the Gator Clubs because it gives our fans a chance to hear about their program and their university directly from us. In addition to our speaking program, it also gives fans a chance to ask us questions directly and that is very valuable. If you didn't have a chance to ask us a question at one of the Gator clubs, send us a note and we will get back to you. We still have three Gator Clubs left this summer: Volusia County (June 5); Orlando (June 8) and Jacksonville (July 24). Our staff is in the office this
week. It is a chance for us to meet and follow up on our recruiting work
during the last month. Next week, the Southeastern Conference has its annual
coaches and administrative meetings in Destin, Fla. We will spend Tuesday
and Wednesday there meeting with all of the coaches in the league, the
athletic directors and Commissioner Mike Slive.
After next week, our football camps will be just around the corner. Our first of seven camps starts June 9 and we also have a women's clinic set for June 19. Camp information and applications are available on this website. Once again, thanks for all of your support and interest in our program. Go Gators
