“Takin’ Care of Business” Both the USC men’s and women’s team won the West Regional Championships. There were many champions, runner ups, and qualifiers for the NCAA Championships in Sacramento. Among the throwers, Kate and Eva both won their events with style—Eva PRed and set a new school record. Congrats Eva! Noah and Will both did really well in the shot—Noah was runner-up and Will finished 4^th place. The weather conditions were not the most ideal—going from 90 degrees to 50 degrees in two days is a bit rough. But—there were no medals won today and both qualified for the NCAAs. Congrats Noah and Will! Julia finished 9^th place, but she is up to get a wild-card in the hammer. Julia has been very consistent this year and she is a strong competitor. You are doing a great job Julia! Dennis competed in the javelin and he is also up for a wild-card place for the NCAAs. Dennis got close to his seasonal best and was a good competitor as well! :) Another thing that the team did before the championships is actually perform the hit song “Takin’ care of business” at the team meeting. Our wonderful massage therapist Bill and the seniors (including myself) sang in front of the rest of the team and it was a lot of fun! Bill really helped out the team making sure we were all stretched out and ready for our events. Thanks Bill!

The sprinters are clearly the foundation of our USC track and field team and I want to recognize their wonderful contributions! However. the women throwers of Troy didn't roll over, we contributed 28 of the 94 points! (nearly 30%) On the right: Our men taking it to 'em in the relay!
