Next Week, we are going to the Texas Relays and it will be 'old home week' for the women's shot putters with virtually the return of the entire NCAA Indoor crew to battle it out once more!

Many K-Mailers already know some of my history as a Texan, born in Houston and attending my freshman year as an SMU Mustang in beautiful Dallas ( BIG D ), Texas!   I am looking forward to returning to my roots.

You might also know that Austin has some of the most wonderful places to eat! Papa D's is a big favorite!

Hope to see some of y'all there!

It was a fun track meet, especially watching the high school
athletes from the Los Angeles Schools run their relay
championship! Coach Allice strongly believes that since our
university is in the city of Los Angeles , it is important for
us to host local high schools when we can.

I couldn't agree more.

Here I am striking 'the pose' before my aging but beautiful convertible Mustang!

When I have taken some of our foreign athletes out in my car with the 'top down', the experience seems to confirm to them what living in Southern California is all about!

If they knew I was going to soak my aching muscles in a spa, they might think that was too much!

A room without a book
is like a body without a soul.

Beware of WHO you ask to take pictures!

I didn't bring my camera to this meet and asked my dad to fill in. He has this tiny 7.1 mega pixel camera that can really zoom on a subject.

Somehow, I KNEW I was being spied on!!

Here I am helping my folks out to the car.

Can You see me?

Here I am out in the infield with a number of the throwers.

Here is our throws coach
Dan Lange.

I have to confess that he
 is one of those rare
 people who leads by
example and is completely
 supportive of his athletes.

Thank you Coach.
