Sometimes you can throw the shot for years and finally find the part of your technique that -- when changed-- makes all the difference. I had that experience recently when coach and I were reviewing my throwing. He said something that sat inside of me -- and then I tried it with remarkable results! Joining USC today in competition at the Trojan Invitational were Oregon, Washington State, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, Cal State Los Angeles, Cal State Northridge, Cal State Poly Pomona, Cal State San Luis Obispo, UCSB, San Diego Mesa College, Pasadena CC, El Camino College, Cerritos College and Long Beach CC. FIGHT ON!

	Life Behind Bars! The Loker Track Stadium is surrounded by beautiful decorative ironwork! As you can see, I have been getting a lot of sun lately in spite of the unusual high amount of rain this year! In Southern California getting a tan is an occupational hazard! :) Good Luck to everyone this track season! Karen:)

It was fun cheering for the entire team at our home meet. A lot of the athletes I hadn't really spent much time with -- after all, distance runners seldom are in the weight room or the throwing fields. However, it was fun to chat with many new Trojan friends during and after the meet!
