After not practicing for 2 1/2 weeks
except for 6 warm-up weight throws yesterday, I was very surprised to
PR in the
weight--63'2" for another NCAA Provisional Qualifier. I was more
worried about tripping over my feet than throwing far today!
Looks like Candice and Kim are going to battle it out for the NCAA record in the weight...Kim didn't throw the weight this week, and Candice passed up her record by 10 cm (22.82/74-10.5). For complete meet results, go to Gatorzone.

Candice and I sat out the shot today.
Coach told me yesterday that I had to throw one event today
(wish I'd known that before I lifted heavy on Friday
& Saturday morning!!--oops), and after 2 1/2
weeks
without throwing
anything, there was no way I was going to throw the shot. But the Lady
Gators stepped
up and
had a strong showing:
