Everyone asks what was my life like growing up? Did I throw from age 2? Was I always involved in athletics?
My parents never 'pushed us', but they were demanding. They wanted us to : 1) be accomplished in a musical instrument ( any kind, it didn't matter--I play the clarinet), 2) have an academic interest in which we excelled (and earn good grades), 3) choose a team sport that we might like to participate in (not soccer! that's another story!) and 4) choose an individual sport. They felt that these things together would help us all our life.

I miss my sister in Iraq. Here's
a picture of her with Dad fishing on Avila pier. When we were young we used to fish for our 'cats'! It made us feel like grown up 'hunters!' |
Here's Grandpa Freberg, me and Kristin! |

Here's dad and me at the local
Elks! i must have jumped a thousand times and dad was always a good sport about it! |
Here is my mother's favorite picture of me. She always wanted me to dress up as 'Snow White' at Halloween, but I never did. Sorry, mom. |
I hope you liked these pictures... and a little look into my childhood!
The point is that you can still be a kid and pick up your sport and do well... but you have to be committed!
Good Luck to everyone!
