I will save my introductions for those who would like to continue on to visit my blog and/or my main web page; but I will tell you that I have posted these pages entitled "becoming social" as a way for professionals and my students to communicate on everything 'social!'
Social Media has been in my blood ever since I started my first web site back in 1995. It was an 'unofficial Val Kilmer Fan Site'. By the time I was in high school, my site had morphed into a track and field site and an on-line newsletter viewed around the world ( there were very little track and field sites in those days!) It followed me around from being a Florida Gator women's shot put record holder as an undergrad (Bachelors in Public Relations) to a Southern California Trojan record holder in graduate school ( Masters in Strategic Public Relations). Oh yes, I did go to the Olympic trials.
After completing my Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee, I became an Assistant Professor in Strategic Communications at the wonderful University of Louisville. I am an on-line instructor at West Virginia University and teach students all over the world; one of my students was even one of our soldiers serving in Afghanistan! It is getting to be a small world!
In addition, I travel, consult and present all over the world... and these few pages are a little thank you to the profession I love.
